Slicing Potatoes

It is hard to believe that potatoes, a global staple with the power to delight and comfort, have only been available outside of the Americas for a handful of centuries.

Although there are a wide variety of methods for cooking potatoes, a key technique for achieving consistent texture and taste in many potato dishes is even slicing.

In the short video “Slicing Potatoes” (an excerpt from a video in a series on preparing vegetables) you will learn an efficient way to stabilize and slice a potato. (Public access expires December 10, 2012.)
