Sacrifice an Egg, Save a Breakfast.
Ever wonder how fresh those eggs really are? There are a number of ways to check egg freshness, but we love playing with our food.
Take two eggs, each from different group/carton in question, and crack them onto a clean surface. The freshest of the two will have a yolk that sits up higher while the other will have a white (albumen) that looks more runny. See the image below for an example test.
Hate touching raw eggs? Use the water test. Older eggs will float in a bowl of water while fresher eggs will sink to the bottom.
