Fresh Muesli Recipe

by · September 23, 2010

One of the best things about this breakfast is that it can be made the night before. It also happens to taste great and it’s good for you too…what a bonus! Muesli, often referred to as Bircher muesli, seems to have many names, as well as many different recipes. This particular recipe uses a variety of oats, dried fruit, apple juice, freshly grated apples and yogurt. Everything is then mixed together and then chilled in the refrigerator overnight.

The next morning you give it a little stir and voilĂ …breakfast is made. How easy is that; right? If you like, you can also serve it with some fresh fruit for a little extra nutrition and pizazz.

Another good thing about muesli is that you can make a fairly big batch at the beginning of the week. It will keep for a few days in the refrigerator, which is great for those busy mornings when breakfast somehow doesn’t make it on the list of “things-to-do”.
