The Success Meter

Success Meter: 96% [What's this?]

Many online sites present hand-selected testimonials that seem almost too good to be true. At Rouxbe, we wanted to do something different; something that would keep us honest.

After each instructional cooking experience with Rouxbe, we ask our viewers to rate their experience, based on the following factors:

1. Instructional quality
2. Quality of the video viewing experience
3. Was the resulting dish a success?

And despite criticism from some people who think we are crazy, we post the aggregate average from all Rouxbe video experiences on the top right of every one of our web pages. This means that if Rouxbeâ??s instructional formula isnâ??t workingâ?¦ you and the World will certainly know.

Our success meter is a global measure of how well we are doing. It is also the single most important metric for our team of managers and staff who tirelessly “sweat the details” to ensure you receive the best possible recipes and instruction. Visit Rouxbe.com now!

“Sweat the details”? Man, I really don’t know if those 3 words really cover the detail that goes everywhere in the Rouxbe process.

A few samples: all recipes are tested before they’re shot, and then tested again once they’re on the web to make sure they’re clear to follow. Every video is reviewed from all sorts of angles (editing, sound, compression quality, voice over descriptions, etc.). Even the volume of the background music in the main recipe player went through a thorough process to make sure it’s the perfect volume. We want people to hear the music and control it apart from the narration, but we need to make sure the narration is always clear, even with background music.
