My Random Thoughts at 6:30 a.m.

“What if I were to be hit by a bus…I’d rather have just made chocolate zucchini bread, than have gone for a run!”

That’s actually what I was thinking on Friday morning at 6:30 a.m. We filmed all day Thursday and we were filming again on Friday, so I thought…”maybe I should go for a run, to get some fresh air this morning.” But then I thought, “really, do I? What if I get hit by a bus and the last thing I was doing was running (which is not so bad, but lets face it, it’s not my favorite thing to do).” So then I thought, okay let’s say this was “my last morning” (I know so dramatic right, let us not forget that it was 6:30 in the morning), what would I want to do instead.

Well I knew it was only a fake “last morning” so I was realistic, I knew I wasn’t going to fly to the Amalfi Coast for breakfast or anything. So I decided instead to make chocolate zucchini bread for everyone to have with their morning coffee. I had a lovely yellow organic zucchini that I bought at the farmers’ market and it even came with a nifty recipe from the lady at the market.

I made a few adjustments to the recipe i.e. less sugar and I ignored the part where it said to “add the flour and beat well” (’cause I took the wheat coarse…ha ha). It was good. Unfortunately…so good in fact, that I didn’t get a chance to take a final picture, as it was all eaten that day. It was moist and yummy!

In the end I still felt good about not going for a run because there were 3 cups of grated zucchini in the recipe :-)

Do you own a car? Do you look at streetlights when you walk around town and try NOT to step out unto a corner bus stop? Lets use a little logic before we get too emotional here.. about a good reason to make zucchini bread. Heres one… It tastes Good and your co- workers will now think you are the “Saint” you’ve been trying to convince them (and us).. you are.. So, you re giving up running for baking Bread! Good Grief… bake the bread Woman, have a piece and go do some real excersize .. like working in your Garden or vacuming your house.. Or for that matter, tending to Anything other than stroking your own ego via this website. Regards, Pam
